"O" scale (48:1) Replicas 6½" in length each

We have replicated the White Model 706 with close attention to detail. The tires of the original fleet had a unique tread design and this was replicated in "O" scale. Small details such as gearshift levers, grab-handles on the seatbacks, and the four spoke steering wheel are exactly like the real buses. The "railroad lantern" tail lights of the 1936 are also just like the real thing.

Originally we produced only 2 buses: The Glacier Park "Jammer" Bus (red) and the Yellowstone Bus (yellow) It didn't take long for us to learn that man of our dealers catered to railroaders who wanted "O" scale vehicles to pick up the "O" scale people from their "O" scale train stations in their "O" scale towns. It is important to the railroaders to have buses of the same genre as the steam locomotives on the tracks.

We have filled this need by adding two distinctly different paint schemes while maintaining the integrity of the original motif right down to the serif style printing and the oval signage of that era.

schemes while maintaining the integrity of the original motif right down to the serif style printing and the oval signage of that era.

In the 1930's commercial vehicles usually had an oval sign on the door with a pictorial depiction of the business. In keeping with this motif, we used the Open Top bus Company logo on a field of green for the station bus.

We have several more color schemes planned for future production runs. Next we plan to produce the "Skagway Alaska" bus in honor of the eight original Yellowstone Buses that gave tours in Skagway until 2001 when they were sold back to Yellowstone National Park. (See info on History Page of this website) We do not guarantee that we will duplicate any particular run. If you want to collect the entire fleet, the best thing to do is collect them as they come out.
